【摘要】:Thistestmethodcoversthelaboratoryevaluationoftheelectricalconductanceofconcretesamplestoprovidearapidindicationoftheirresistancetochlorideionpenetration.Inmostcasestheelectricalconductanceresultshaveshowngoodcorrelationwithchloridepondingtests,suchasAASHTOT259,oncompanionslabscastfromthesameconcretemixtures(Refs1-5).Thistestmethodissuitableforevaluationofmaterialsandmaterialproportionsfordesignpurposesandresearchanddevelopment.Sampleagehassignificanteffectsonthetestresults,dependingonthetypeofconcreteandthecuringprocedure.Mostconcretes,ifproperlycured,becomeprogressivelyandsignificantlylesspermeablewithtime.Thistestmethodwasdevelopedoriginallyforevaluationsofalternativematerials,butinpracticeitsusehasevolvedtoapplicationssuchasqualitycontrolandacceptancetesting.Insuchcasesitisimperativethatthecuringproceduresandtheageattimeoftestingbeclearlyspecified.Table1providesaqualitativerelationshipbetweentheresultsofthistestandthechlorideionpenetrabilityofconcrete.Numericalresultsofthistest(totalchargepassed,incoulombs)canbeusedasabasisfordeterminingtheacceptabilityofaconcretemixture.Factorssuchastheingredientmaterialsusedandmethodanddurationofcuringoftestspecimensaffectresultsofthistest.(SeeNote1)Note18212;Whenusingthistestfordeterminingacceptabilityofconcretemixtures,statistically-basedcriteriaandtestageforprequalification,orforacceptancebasedonjobsitesamples,shouldbestatedinprojectspecifications.Acceptancecriteriaforthistestshouldconsiderthesourcesofvariabilityaffectingtheresultsandensurebalancedriskbetweensupplierandpurchaser.Theanticipatedexposureconditionsandtimebeforeastructurewillbeputintoserviceshouldbeconsidered.OneapproachtoestablishingcriteriaisdiscussedinRef6.Careshouldbetakenininterpretingresultsofthistestwhenitisusedonsurface-treatedconcretes,forexample,concretestreatedwithpenetratingsealers.Theresultsfromthistestonsomesuchconcretesindicatelowresistancetochlorideionpenetration,while90-daychloridepondingtestsoncompanionslabsshowahigherresistance.Thedetailsofthetestmethodapplyto4-in.(102-mm)nominaldiameterspecimens.Thisincludesspecimenswithactualdiametersrangingfrom3.75in.(95mm)to4.0in.(102mm).Otherspecimendiametersmaybetestedwithappropriatechangesintheappliedvoltagecelldesign(see7.5andFig.1).Forspecimendiametersotherthan3.75in.(95mm),thetestresultvaluefortotalchargepassedmustbeadjustedfollowingtheprocedurein11.2.Forspecimenswithdiameterslessthan3.75in.(95mm),particularcaremustbetakenincoatingandmountingthespecimenstoensurethattheconductivesolutionsareabletocontacttheentireendareasduringthetest.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationoftheelectricalconductanceofconcretetoprovidearapidindicationofitsresistancetothepenetrationofchlorideions.Thistestmethodisapplicabletotypesofconcretewherecorrelationshavebeenestablishedbetweenthistestprocedureandlong-termchloridepondingproceduressuchasthosedescribedinAASHTOT259.ExamplesofsuchcorrelationsarediscussedinRefs1-5.1.2Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard,exceptwhereSIunitsaregivenfirstfollowedbyinch-poundunitsinparentheses.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressall......
