【摘要】:Thistestmethodisintendedtosimulatethecorrosionprocessofnon-ferrousmetalsindiesellubricants.Thecorrosionprocessunderinvestigationisthatbelievedtobeinducedprimarilybyinappropriatelubricantchemistryratherthanlubricantdegradationorcontamination.Thistestmethodhasbeenfoundtocorrelatewithanextensivefleetdatabasecontainingcorrosion-inducedcamandbearingfailures.1.1Thistestmethodisusedtotestdieselenginelubricantstodeterminetheirtendencytocorrodevariousmetals,specificallyalloysofleadandcoppercommonlyusedincamfollowersandbearings.Correlationwithfieldexperiencehasbeenestablished.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Specifichazardstatementsaregivenin5.3.1,6.6,6.7,6.8,6.9,6.10,6.11,7.1.1,7.1.2,7.1.5,and7.4.1.
